Furano annual market report 2025 now live
Furano’s resort property market is becoming harder to ignore.
The new Uchi Insights Furano annual market report 2025 offers a broad, data-led view of a destination that is attracting more attention as buyers look beyond Niseko for a different kind of resort environment. The report looks at how Furano’s visible market changed across listings, sales activity, pricing and property type in 2025.
At a headline level, Furano’s visible market on Uchi grew from 26 listings in 2024 to 71 in 2025, while total listing value increased from ¥2.87bn to ¥9.05bn. Sold listings also rose, from 7 to 18, and sold listing value increased from ¥247m to ¥1.17bn. From a relatively small base, that points to a market that became both more visible and more active in 2025.
A few themes stand out early. Furano appears to be benefiting from broader buyer interest beyond Niseko, while also offering a different kind of market structure. Unlike Niseko, where the main resort areas and towns are more physically separate, Furano’s ski areas connect much more directly with the town itself. That helps create a market where smaller houses and town-based stock can play a meaningful role alongside larger resort-led product.
The report also highlights Furano’s year-round character. Winter tends to bring longer-stay ski demand, while summer is shaped more by flower tourism and shorter sightseeing visits. Combined with the more established resort backdrop associated with Prince / Seibu infrastructure, that gives Furano a different operating context from more fragmented resort markets.
